Studio baby!

Yup, I'm in the studio with my band right now. We're having quite the time. We're in Woodbridge Ontario, which is in the GTA, just outside of Vaughan. Bob is sitting beside me playing some old fashioned shoot 'em up Goldeneye. Yes. Goldeneye. Fuckin' sweet, right? Haven't played it in years but Steve "Bring Me The Ho" Rizun has an N64 and some classic games just sitting waiting for us here at Drive Studios.

We're also trying to video blog this, so (barring technical difficulties) you'll be able to see us live in action. It'll probably be up on our MySpace, as well as YouTube. 

Anyways, enough of that shit.

This weekend has been great so far though. There's nothing like chilling with your best friends in the world non-stop. Seriously, if you have a friend near you right now, give them a great big sloppy kiss for me. Show them how much you appreciate them, even though they are so full of shit sometimes:)

The First One

I don't have anything in particular to say here so I'll see where the typing takes me...

Since I don't have anything particular to blog about, I'll just talk about the actual act of blogging. It's interesting. One part of me thinks that it's silly kind of. Almost like a one-sided conversation. I'm sitting here writing this but no one is answering back. So, as I do it, it seems pointless. 

But I guess it's not.

I've spent my fair share of time aimlessly wandering through Internet chat rooms, reading about music, movies, or wherever the click of a mouse takes me. They've kept me preoccupied and oftentimes I've been amused by what I'm reading, even though the post I'm reading was made by someone whom I've never met, and probably never will. But that little bit of enjoyment I guess is worth it.

I'm in a band, so I guess one goal of mine through this blog would be to provide updates and insight regarding my band. That could be cool. And I love a lot of shit. Like movies and music... and just a lot of shit. So maybe I'll do a "recommendations" section or something, maybe weekly. It's just that there are certain things I think everyone should experience. And if I make recommendations on here, and even just one person goes out and rents an amazing movie, or picks up an amazing album that they otherwise wouldn't have, then awesome. This blog is worth it. So stay tuned for that.

Oh, and my band is called The Lakeside Is For Killers. Our myspace is www.myspace.com/thelakesideisforkillers. That seems like a shameless plug, but seriously I love my band, and I love my music, and it's all I want to do with my life. So I'm not ashamed. Sorry.
